The calculators

• 3D print weight: grams per part and per batch from the volume and surface area your CAD reports, for every filament and resin the calculator quotes.
• Snap-fit cantilever: strain at the root, deflection force and assembly force of a straight cantilever snap, against the allowable strain on your datasheet.
• FDM hole compensation: the diameter to model so a printed hole takes a pin with the clearance or interference you want, corrected from one measured test hole.
• Heat-set insert hole: the hole diameter and depth to model for a heat-set insert, from the insert maker's datasheet and one measured test hole.
• Injection moulding break-even: the quantity at which a mould pays for itself against printed parts, from your own tooling quote and piece prices.

What they do not contain

No 3Descu price and no tolerance or strength figure measured on 3Descu parts: none has been measured, and the design rules say so. Material data such as the modulus or the allowable strain comes from your own datasheet, and fit corrections come from a test print you measure yourself.
