3D printed jigs and fixtures
A jig or fixture holds a part in one repeatable position while something is done to it, and it is the single most common thing a manufacturer prints. Printing them rather than machining them means a fixture costs a fraction of the machined version and can be revised the same week the line changes. The requirement is almost always stiffness and dimensional stability rather than raw strength, because the fixture has to hold position, not survive abuse.

What actually decides the job
Stiffness is the specification, not strength
A fixture fails when it flexes under clamping load and the part it holds moves. Carbon fibre filled filament is stiffer than any unfilled one and is the usual answer. Reserve polycarbonate for fixtures that also get hot.
Design the wear surfaces to be replaceable
The face that touches the workpiece wears first. Making that face a separate printed insert means the fixture body outlives many inserts, and reprinting an insert costs almost nothing.
Print a revision number into the part
Embossed text costs nothing and settles the argument about which fixture is on the bench. When a fixture is revised, the old one is visibly the old one.
Quantity changes the economics, not the design
One fixture and twenty identical fixtures are the same file. Ordering the set together is cheaper per piece than ordering them one at a time as each cell needs one.
Materials, in the order they are usually recommended
Every one of them is priced automatically, so the cheapest way to settle the choice is to quote the same file in two materials and compare. The full list is on the materials page.
